Angel Falls is a water falls

It is located in Venezuela. It is the world’s highest waterfall. In Spanish it is also known as Salto Angel.

Jimmy Angel was a US aviator, who was the first to fly over the falls back in 1933. Angel Falls is named after Jimmy Angel.

Angel Falls is located in the Canaima National Park in the Gran Sabana region of Venezuela.

It is considered a breath taking natural wonder. The water falls plunges from the edge of Auyan tepui mountains with a height of 979 meters (3212 feet).

The water originates from the Churun River. The river flows from the plateau and falls down the steep cliffs of Auyan tepui.

The best time to visit Canaima National Park is during the months of October and November.

From Canaima, reaching the base of the falls requires a combination of a riverboat ride and a hike through the jungle.
