It is the first shrine in the Char Dham Yatra. It is located at an altitude of 3,293 meters in the western region of the Garhwal Himalayas in Uttarakhand. It is dedicated to the goddess Yamuna.

Yamunotri (यमुनोत्री)

It is the second shrine in the Char Dham Yatra and is located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 3,048 meters. It is dedicated to the Goddess Ganga.

Gangotri (गंगोत्री)

It is the third shrine in the Char Dham Yatra. It is located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 3,583 meters. It is dedicated to the Lord Shiva

Kedarnath (केदारनाथ )

It is the fourth shrine in the Char Dham Yatra. It is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 3,415 meters. It is dedicated to the Lord Vishnu.

Badrinath (बद्रीनाथ)

It is the source of the Ganga River. It is around 20km away from Gangotri, in the Uttarkashi district.

Gomukh Glacier (गोमुख ग्लेशियर)

Hemkund Sahib is a Sikh pilgrimage site in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand. It is devoted to Guru Gobind Singh (1666–1708), the tenth Sikh Guru.

Pilgrims take a holy dip in the Surya Kund before entering the temple to offer their prayers to the goddess Yamunotri.
